Filipino environmental advocates hailed the recent ruling by a controversial investor-state dispute tribunal of the World Bank that rejected a US$301-million lawsuit filed by Canadian-Australian big mining firm OceanaGold against the El Salvadoran government after its reapplication for a mining permit was denied back in 2007.
